•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• OPENING SEGMENT Outcome: The first show of 2020 begins as "For The Glory" hits followed by promo. Tyler York and Mike Hawk walk on out to talk about the matches that will happen on tonight's show. Mike said he has his 'special match' thought out when it comes to Bloodlust and confirmed it will feature SIX women. He also says that despite RC trying to steal their thunder, Dark Oasis is still the main show here in TXW. With that they confirm that some of the news on RC is inaccurate as Tara Malice's injury is not as bad as feared. It means she will defend her title at Bloodlust against Angelique should she BEAT Dakota on the next show. OR it will be Tara's choice if her fellow Savages member wins. Tyler also confirms that he is sick of instant rematch clauses and has decided to scrap them. That means if Eddie LOSES his title tonight, he won't get an instant rematch for it at Bloodlust. They leave it there as many more announcements will be made during the show. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• OPENING MATCH Tyrone Marshall vs Matthew Taylor Stipulation: Singles Result: The opening saw a change as Tyrone faced off with Matthew Taylor instead of fighting Chloe Middleton. This was as competitive as you imagine considering both these men had outstanding years in 2018. Sadly it wasn't the case for them in 2019 but here is a chance for both men to start the year in the best way possible. Taylor shows how much more aggressive he is now he is back on a full time deal. The Bull looked rocked when he was dropkicked in the corner, smacking the back of his head off the top turnbuckle. It led to the Modern Day Conqueror dominating the match and eventually leaving the multiple time World champion laid out in the middle of the ring. It let him go to the top rope and attempt his Phoenix Splash. Only Tyrone was ready for it and got up his knees to deny the finish being hit. The Bull comes raging back into this one and throws Taylor around, reminding everyone of his power. These two men have done this battle many times over the years and it is certainly a step back that they are opening the show rather than being in the main event. Tyrone is determined to make sure 2020 isn't another blow out. That this new decade is full of lots more success, as he certainly isn't getting any younger. The match did become more of a back and forth later but a drop kick attempted missed, which allowed Tyrone to hit the Seeing Red [Superman Punch]. It didn't floor Taylor which worked out perfectly as he follows it up with a snapper to get the win. After the match is over he got on the microphone and vowed that 2020 will be a much better year than 2019. He also stated that he'll put someone on notice and wont' say who it is. Whoever it is, better watch their back because a Bull is coming for them. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
SEGMENT Outcome: Kry is seen walking around with her Badass Championship, looking confident ahead of her match with Gabriel Hunter in a moment. All of a sudden she is attacked from behind by Gabriel, who hits her right across the back of the knee with a lead pipe. He laughs as she lay there in pain, holding her knee. He has Natasha encouraging his violence and she watches as he hit with Hunted [Powerbomb into double knee backbreaker]. Then he takes back the Badass championship by getting a five count on her as a referee turns up. Gabriel is now a NINE time Badass champion and he has done damage moments before they fight it out in the middle of the ring. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• SECOND MATCH Gabriel Hunter w/ Natasha Ivanov vs Kry Stipulation: Singles Result: The Menace walked out with the Badass title having just taken it from Kry. His confidence is expected since he just beat down his opponent a moment ago. To think they used to be allies is a very big surprise. Kry didn't hide away from the fight despite what happened earlier as she walked out, even when looking a little worse for wear. The attack just seemed to make Kry angry, so angry that she really brought the fight to Gabriel. If the DQ rule hadn't been taken away from every TXW match, there is a chance she would've be disqualified, especially when she connected with a low blow. Gabriel got some help from Natasha when it looked like he was going to lose this one. He is handed the Badass title and uses it to get the win in the end. All it took was for him to hit her right across the face with it, leading to her being pinned down for the three count. The Menace leaves with Natasha as Kry will most likely still be looking for revenge on what has been a bad night at this point on the show. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
SEGMENT Outcome: The 'Hardcore Whore' is being asked about her plans involving the Beasts of War and whether she really is going to go up against the Savages. Hope didn't give a lot away but did say she enjoys fighting no matter who it's against. She also seemed interested in adding more titles to her resume other than just the Badass title, even if she did enjoy the back and forth with Gabriel Hunter. Once the interviewer is over The Beasts walk over but have nothing to say. Seems they are going to keep a closer eye on Hope. We'll soon find out why. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• THIRD MATCH Hope Sweet vs Nick Gallagher Stipulation: Singles Result: 'Mr Nasty' has lost his way despite a promising start here in TXW. Hope walked out here and the surprise was seeing the Beasts Of War flank her. Why? No one really knew that but maybe the Beasts knew the numbers are against them when it comes to the Savages. Maybe they are testing Hope and seeing if she is worthy of standing alongside them, even if it would be brief as they never planned on adding to their number. Getting back Wrath seemed to be the biggest move they make this year. Hope brought it here and won a very quick match over Daniel Khaos' only student.
Unfortunately 'Mr Nasty' hasn't been able to carry on the legacy very well, at least at the start of life here in TXW. Being beaten here doesn't help as Hope bounces back from her recent loss in the title match. The Beasts didn't stay around as they gave no impression they were pleased with her win or if they would even consider her as an ally. It didn't matter too much to Hope because she got the win and will want to keep doing that as she can't be ignored if she does. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
SEGMENT Outcome: The Menace is seeing leaving the arena with Natasha, into he is attacked in the parking lot by Kry. Seems they both have a lot more to settle. Gabriel trips her up and decides to get in his car with Natasha then leave the arena in a hurry. That left Kry furious as she won't forget tonight in a hurry. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• PRE MAIN EVENT Ciara Fierce w/ JT Marshall vs Jacob Williams Stipulation: Singles / Non title Result: The pre main event saw Ciara Fierce battle it out with the man being tipped as next World Champion once Bloodlust ends. It's already confirmed he will be using his cash in to main event the first PPV of 2020. After beating Isaiah, all be it with the help of Denzel, it was always expected he would find a way to get a title shot. Here Jacob had Aubrey and Denzel in his corner to counteract the presence of J.T Marshall. Thankfully we didn't see any of them get involved as the action stayed in the ring. Jacob gave Ciara a tough fight, which is to be expected since he is after the World Championship. If Ciara been anyone else, things may have ended as Jacob showed everyone why he is one of the best in the company. Yet he didn't wrap this up the way he expected. He didn't overcome the woman of 2019. Ciara instead got the win over Jacob, much to the shock of nearly everyone. Many expected Jacob to win here to set up his big championship match at Bloodlust. Instead he has lost here and will be hoping to win next show to avoid going into Bloodlust on the back of a loss. Jacob left which left Ciara holding up her title in the middle of the ring. Only she is then blindsided by Raine, who hit the Sweet Sacrifice on her and got out the ring once J.T got in. The longest reigning IC Champion in history has now sent a message to the longest reigning Global champion. Seems the fight is on. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
SEGMENT Outcome: The Global champion is furious about being attacked and wants to kick Raine's arse as soon as possible. Mike Hawk ended up talking to her and he gave her a chance to do so on the next show. She'll battle against Andrew Parker and Raine in a tag team match, with her partner being Lauren Li in what will be a high stakes battle between them all. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• MAIN EVENT Eddie McGinlay (C) vs Isaiah Thorne Stipulation: World Championship Result: The title is up for grabs to close out the first Dark Oasis of 2020. Isaiah got to challenge after his recent winning run despite his loss to Jacob Williams due to an interference. He still deserves his title shot which is why no one questioned why this is happening, they knew why. Isaiah has so much confidence here that he has no plans to back down from the 'Glasgow Monster' Eddie McGinlay. Many expected the monster to dominate but he didn't at all as Isaiah had the speed and had the confidence to throw just about everything at the dominating champion. Isaiah almost won it early after a superkick connected which almost led to a three count. It became more about survival for Eddie as clearly he had not taken Isaiah seriously. There was no real interaction between these two and it seemed like the man of 2019 had been taking everything lightly. Like this was an easy title defense that he had been handed. Instead he is was in a fight and many liked to see this, liked to see someone new at the top of the food chain. It's often been dominated by the brutes of the company, not a non monster like Isaiah. Plenty of women were supporting him here as he fought with everything to become champion. Eddie did look like he turned the tide after a big boot then the Tartan Tomb, only for Isaiah to get his foot on the rope to stop the retain happening. It's a moment of relief for Isaiah but a moment of frustration for Eddie. The match goes back and forth a little longer into Isaiah catches the champion right across the jaw with a strike. It then lets him set up his version of the Blue Thunder Bomb, slamming down the big man Eddie. At this moment the match ended and Isaiah should've ended the night as the NEW World Champion. Instead the fall is broken up by Jacob Williams who had ran out then slid into the ring, just to deny Isaiah. He attacks him and punches away at his face all while Eddie ends up sitting in the corner, relieved he had his reign saved there as even he knew when he was defeated. He looked smug but it didn't last long as most of the Savages came out minus the doctor. They are targeted Eddie as things got out of control, leading to the main event ending up being a no contest. It wasn't the best way for the show to end but it is how it ended as no one could get control.
